Mike Golic doesn’t expect to be included in ESPN’s major layoffs in the coming months, even if his signature show is losing its other half.
The iconic radio personality hopes ESPN will assign him a new partner on his popular morning show, “Mike & Mike,” after his longtime co-host, Mike Greenberg, leaves for his own New York-based morning show in the months ahead. Though all the shuffling, which ESPN has made its priority over the past year, is speculation at this point.
“I would imagine I would continue to do that show. We haven’t gotten that far, quite honestly, as to if the show is going to end, when it’s going to end, and when it ends, and if it does end, what’s going to happen with the show?” Golic said Thursday in an interview with Sporting News. “I would imagine I would still be doing it. I would imagine I would be doing it with somebody else. Who that is? I don’t really know.”
